To make things easy for you, we've already created a number of standard leave types, which cover most of the statutory types. If you'd like to have more or fewer types, you can of course do so.
To manage the leave types, go to 'Settings' in the main menu and click 'Leave types'.
Internal leave types
We use the following internal leave types:
Holiday
Sick leave
Special leave
Parental leave
Educational leave
Time off in lieu
Unpaid leave
The types 'Holiday', 'Sick leave' and 'Time off in lieu' each have their own balance calculation. The other types are not included in the balance calculations.
Adding a leave type
To add a new leave type, click 'Add leave type'. Here you enter the name, icon, weighting, any translations and the internal leave type. You can also indicate whether this leave type can accrue, as with 'Time off in lieu'.

Disabling a leave type
There may be times when a particular leave type is no longer needed. In that case, you can disable it.
What happens when you disable a leave type?
If you disable a leave type, it's hidden from your employees and is no longer available for leave requests.
And how exactly do you do this?
Click the leave type you want to disable and then click the 'Disable' button. You'll be asked to enter a date from which this leave type should become invisible.
